Public School System June 10, 1950, Washington High School. Attended Shaw University (1 year football scholarship), Raleigh, Obtained a (B.A.)-born again from First Baptist Church, Raleigh. A Ph . D from the Raleigh Housing Authority (Chavis Heights Living Experiences). Raleigh.

Baptized, Easter Sunday 1943, First Baptist Church, Raleigh. Briefly held the superintendent of adults, Assistant Superintendent of Intermediates, Finance committee, Board of Deacons (1963-now emeritus), Scoutmaster, seven years, troop #52, and Worship with several churches in the Carteret County area, Mt. Zion in Beaufort, St. Steven A.M.E Z. Church, among many in Carteret County.
